Little boo boo :(

Well, Connor was having a good ol' time playing in his crib this afternoon. He just learned to pull himself up on the side rail--which is a little risky, because his balance is still a work in progress! ;) We were watching him play, and he lunged forward to pull himself up again, but missed the rail and plunged right into the side of the crib. Poor baby! His cheek has a big old bump (can you see it in the first picture?). I know this is only the first of many injuries that are bound to occur as he becomes more mobile--but it's definitely not fun to witness! But, he recovered quickly and has been playing happily ever since!

Grass is pretty cool!

Connor and I are hanging out today while Tommy works. Even though it's nice that Tommy can watch Connor on Thursdays while I work, I have to admit, I miss our weekends together! Oh well, those are the breaks! ;)

Connor has discovered grass and thinks it's pretty cool--he really likes to eat it! I guess they aren't kidding when they say babies discover by putting everything in their mouths! ;) He likes to pick it, too. It's neat to see the world from a new perspective. All of the little things that you take for granted--like grass--become something new and exciting when you're seeing it through a baby's eyes. Neat!

We are going to look at a couple of houses this evening--I saw them yesterday while Tommy worked, and I think one could be pretty perfect. We'll see how it goes! We're not worried because we know God's timing is perfect, and He has a plan--we're just anxiously waiting to see what it is!!! We'll keep ya posted!

Someone is getting tired of his exersaucer--better go rescue him!

Have a great day!

What a week!

Well, it's been a bit of a crazy week around these parts! It started on Sunday when Connor was with Grammy and Grandpa Erhard--apparently he got hold of the phone and somehow dialed "911"!!!! Much to his Grammy's surprise, the sherriff's department returned his call, and because they had to follow procedure, sent an officer out to the house just to check. I hope this is the last time an officer has to visit anyone's house because of something Connor has done--we'll just have to wait and see who he takes after--ha! ;)

I wish I could say the week got less crazy after that little episode...but, not so much! We are now scheduled to close on our current house at the end of May, but no longer have a house to move into...we know it will all work out for the best, and keeping a positive attitude! We'll definitely keep everyone posted as things progress!

Here are a couple of pictures of the babe in his highchair!

Hope everyone is having a great week....

Congratulations to Susan and Josh--baby girl is beautiful! Can't wait to meet her! ;)

Tommy and I are having fun playing with Connor tonight. He's not quite crawling yet, but getting closer every day. Unfortunately, he's not a huge fan of "tummy time", but he'll tolerate it--especially now that he's figuring out it might enable him to get somewhere!

Yesterday he was pretty clingy, and didn't really want to entertain himself in the exersaucer--wanted to be able to see me at all times. So, I got this great idea to put him in the laundry basket in the bedroom while I folded and put away clothes. I put a blanket on the bottom of the basket, put it in front of the TV and threw a couple of toys in the mix. This little contraption worked well for about 3 minutes--until Connor figured out he could hold onto the side and pull himself up. Obviously this was a little too dangerous and mommy had to find a new source of safe entertainment pretty quickly! And here I thought I was really onto something! ;)

Loungin' Around!

Just got back from a walk and decided to let Connor chill out in the grass for a bit....we're all so happy it's spring! I promise I'll stop posting so many pictures...I don't want to over do-it...we have been really bad about taking pictures lately, and now this is forcing us to think about taking more pictures again! So, I figure I'll do this while I'm inspired! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Taking a Bath!

We had sooo much fun at bathtime tonight! Gracie gives the best baths ever...ya know, dog saliva is supposed to be really sanitary...right? We're hoping that's true (even though they busted that theory on "Mythbusters") because Gracie is constantly licking Connor all over the face, and yes, even in the mouth. He loves it though!

Good Morning!

Congratulations, Jeff and Amy, on the birth of a beautiful baby girl! She is gorgeous and we can't wait to see her in person!!!! Yea!!! :)

Here are a couple of pictures from last weekend! The first is Connor with his Grammy all dressed up in his "little man" outfit. Tommy even put a bit of gel in his hair! Ha! ;)

The second picture is Connor with his Grandpa Bob--what a pair!

Have a great day!

Gorgeous Spring Day!

Today was absolutely gorgeous! We have been blessed with such a beautiful spring. We came home from work, fired up the grill, and enjoyed the evening...culminated by a walk with the dog and the babe! We stopped at the park and let Connor swing for a bit--he loooves to swing! The air was so fragrant, and the sky was so blue--a glorious spring day in this part of the world!

Okay--just wanted to test the photo uploading process. This is a picture of Connor we had taken a couple of months ago. Oh, I love my babe! ;)

Welcome to our world! ;)

Hi friends and family!

I am going to attempt to update this site as often as possible, so you can "check in" with us! We'll see how it goes!

We had a great Easter weekend--spent time with both families, which was wonderful, as always. Connor wore a cute little RL polo outfit that his Grammy (Erhard) got him, and looked like a dashing little man! The weather was even cooperative--which is always amazing for Ohio. We had two beautiful days, which made Tommy a very happy guy since he hasn't had two days off in a row since my maternity leave ended.

I'm going to attempt to post a couple of pictures from this weekend a little later.
